Ipswich Community House Terms and Conditions for Reservations

  • Requests for event spaces and dates at the Ipswich Community House are subject to confirmation by the Board. Fees will be stated and must be agreed to before confirmation.
  • The Ipswich Community Center and the Living Faith Methodist Church are compliant with the requirements of the Americans with Disability Act.
  • Smoking, alcohol, the use of illegal substances, and firearms in the building and/or on the grounds are strictly prohibited.
  • Events must adhere to all laws, local/facility policies, and Fire Marshal rules.
  • Fire Department regulations prohibit the use of candles, open flames, incense, and similar items.
  • Attaching materials to the walls and other surfaces is not allowed.
  • The renter is responsible for paying for damage to the building and the replacement or repair of lost, stolen, or damaged items.
  • Attendance at events will be limited to the licensed capacity of 250 individuals.
  • Animals, with the exception of service animals, are not allowed in the Community House
  • Groups shall, at their own expense, procure any licenses or permits necessary for the conduct of their meetings.
  • The costs of any police details will be paid by the party reserving the facility
  • The Ipswich Community House assumes no responsibility for the loss, theft, or damage of any property of any group, individual, or organization using the Community House.
  • Groups using meeting spaces agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Ipswich Community House, the Living Faith United Methodist Church, and their board members, employees, or other representatives, from any and all suits, actions, claims, or demands of any nature arising out of or brought on account of any injuries or damages sustained by any person by a consequence or result of the use of the Ipswich Community House and its facilities
  • A certificate of event insurance naming the Ipswich Community House and the Living Faith United Methodist Church as additional insured for $1,000,000 may be required.
  • The reserving party must leave the space clean and orderly. The Community House may require that chairs be returned to their original positions at the close of the event.
  • Use of the Kitchen is not allowed without permission from the Board
  • The Ipswich Community House will provide access to the facility before and during the reservation period. The party making the reservation will designate someone to be in charge before and during public access.
  • This Agreement may be terminated at any time prior to the day of the event. Charges for cancellations may apply.
