
The Ipswich Living Light United Methodist Church reopened on Sunday Morning, December 7, 2025, at 9:00 am. This was the first service in the building since the ceiling collapsed several years ago. The sanctuary, fellowship hall, and other rooms have been completely restored and brought up to code, and will serve as a combined home for the Methodist Church and as the Ipswich Community House. IPSWICH, January 21, 2025— Adam Randazzo, pastor of Living Faith United Methodist Church in Ipswich, says he is never late for anything. But as luck — or perhaps a Higher Power — would have it, he was running behind schedule on May 25, 2018. IPSWICH October 10, 2022 ― When the ceiling collapsed inside the United Methodist Church on North Main Street in 2018, it created a mess ― both physical and bureaucratic…The church was built in 1859, but in order for it to reopen, it must meet the building codes of 2022. Outstanding items include new bathrooms and wheelchair accessibility in the form of an elevator. To help close the gap, Ipswich Citizens for the Arts wants to start fundraising to use the church as a weekday venue for the arts. It would remain a Sunday sanctuary for worship.
